I was drying my hair in the bathroom this morning wondering what I should write about this week, and low and behold…reflected in the mirror I saw something that made me smile.

No, it wasn’t my hair (that wasn’t going very well).  I was looking at the wonderful piece of wall art I’d picked up from HomeGoods a month or so ago.

I love everything about it.  The colors, impressionistic ocean, the profile from the wall, and most of all – its shiny finish that should stand up to moisture from long hot showers.

So if the commode is the true throne of the house, doesn’t it deserve artwork that makes you smile?  Bonus – when reflected in the mirror, it’s like there are two of them!

Now, about that hair…

So what is displayed over your potty?

1. I have a big blank wall over each of my three potties. The walls are screaming for storage cabinets, but I may have to settle for some cool art until that happens. Headed over to Homegoods now!

3. I have a two door cabinet with a shelf and towel rod. It was for stuff I use alot and didn’t want to store under the sink. I lost it to my daughter’s hair products. Seriously, how many can one person use?! LOL!

4. Hi Mary – so hair products trump mom’s stuff? Too funny. At least you can still hang a pretty towel on the bar, right?

5. Susan,

Great tip. Many of us forget the bath when it comes to decorative art pieces. I’m still trying to pull together the 3 baths in the house we bought last winter. BUT, over two of our potties, we have hanging antique stained glass windows – which I sometimes use instead of prints or canvasses. The house is 100 years old, and they seem to fit.

Thanks for the post – I found you via the HOMEDigz blog party, btw- and I look forward to reading more from you.

Best,
haleigh
