Just in time for the Holidays,  HomeGoods has brought in all kinds of great gifts for the pet and pet lover alike.   Duke and I went to HomeGoods  on Saturday to check it out and I was thrilled with our finds.

The first thing to land in our cart was this darling “Good Dog”  towel.   We’ll hang it on the hook by the front door for wiping his little wet paws.

Next we shopped for a Halloween costume. They had several ADORABLE outfits for small dogs.  I thought the cheerleader outfit was just too cute but Duke gave me one look that said, “You think you can get this past the Big Guy at home”?  Right.   So we opted for something more masculine.  Duke makes a darling skeleton, don’t you think? (you can click on the photos to enlarge)

“Trick for Treat” is his year ’round Halloween method of begging goodies.  And there are some lovely treats for sale as well as a recipe book and cookie cutters if you like to bake your own doggie biscuits.  (Sorry Duke, not happening).

Toys and toy boxes, shampoo, beds and leashes and travel bags, food and water dishes ….there were so many wonderful gifts for dogs  (and cats).  Duke fell in love with the squeaky monkey that was almost as big as he was. And for the pet lover there are cute pillows and salt and pepper shakers and gift cards…. Lot’s of great ideas for accessorizing your own home or for Christmas gift ideas for the pet lovers on your list.

So, that’s the scoop on the new arrivals for pets. We  hope you and your fur-babies have as much fun hunting for your great finds as we did.

(Please note we had special permission for the in-store photos).

Duke had a tail waggin’ good time and he came home one  “HomeGoods Happy Pappy!”

LOVE IT Do you LOVE IT?

8. Excellent idea about hanging the “puppy” towel by the door. I’m going to steal your idea for our lake condo. Now, my 12 year old won’t be using my fluffy white towels to “de-mud” our miniature schauzer’s paws. I knew I put those handy HomeGoods hooks by the door for a reason. Happy puppy, happy boy, WAY happy mom.

9. I always go to HomeGoods first to check out the latest merchandise for pets. I love my puppy Bella and have found two great Halloween costumes for her at HG. The price and the products sold are (once found…think buried treasure) unbeatable.

10. Yes, Ellen, a well placed towel makes everyone happy. I especially like this one because it is brown and so shouldn’t show stains.
thanks for dropping by.

11. Michelle, your Bella is one lucky dog — does two costumes mean twice the number of treats?? Duke’s just wondering. LOL

13. Love the “good dog” towel. I’ve looked at every Home Goods around my area of North Carolina, but I can’t find it. Where/how can I get some?

14. Hi Delores: I think those towels sold out fast — I haven’t seen any more around Boston either.I wish I’d bought a second one myself because this one is getting well-used. But sometimes things come back around so keep an eye out. You might also put a call out on the Homegoods Facebook fans page if anyone sees/has one they’d like to share. And hey, anyone reading here that has a lead on the good-dog towel do leave a comment. Thanks!
