harvest cornerI recently had the unique privilege of decorating a fall harvest center for my daughter’s pre-k classroom.  It had to span Halloween and Thanksgiving, and couldn’t be too creepy since it’s for four year olds.

So I looked to nature for inspiration.  I gathered a few branches from the woods out back, and picked up some corn stalks from the farm stand down the road.  I hung the branches from the drop ceiling and added a few lovely silk leaves, then (with permission) used a staple gun to tie the corn stalks to the wall.  And of course, we hung a few plastic bats to make it authentic.

How do you bring the outdoors in this time of year?  And would you dare take a staple gun to your wall? ;)
